West African Agricultural Productivity Programme


West African Agricultural Productivity Programme, is funded by the World Bank with the support of the Spanish government with the aim to strengthen the implementation of agricultural production and productivity. Its global project objective is to generate and accelerate the adoption of technologies in participating countries. 

WAAPP has a funding of $12M, $7M from International Development Association and $5M from the Spanish Government grant. Participation of the females in the implementation process ofWAAPP is among the priorities of the project and that based on the monitoring and evaluation framework at the end of the implementation 40 percent of the beneficiaries should be female.  Its are geared towards creating enabling condition for sub regional cooperation in the generation, dissemination and adoption of technology.
